Dirk P. Haubrich / Robinson Out Of Context / Vinyl LP

$18.00

Dirk P. Haubrich’s unique sound captured the attention of Quanta Records in 2016 during a special night at Paris's Opera Garnier, dedicated to choreographer Jiří Kylián. Shortly after, the collaboration began, resulting in Haubrich's first official release, Robinson Out Of Context. This album features two pieces—“Robinson Out Of Context” and “7 to 8”—created to accompany choreographies by Bruno Listopad and Shen Wei.

With over two decades in the industry, Haubrich has developed a distinctive auditory identity marked by a quest for deeper, more intricate arrangements. After careful selection and adaptation, two tracks from his vast catalog were chosen for this release, formatted to the 45rpm standard.

The record offers a rich listening experience that challenges and captivates the audience. Its composition, rhythms, and textures are meticulously crafted, evolving into a reflective journey. Blending long drones, ambient soundscapes, percussion, and broken beats, Haubrich’s work invites the listener into a deep, contemplative space.

From composition in Berlin to mastering with Rashad Becker, the album bridges experimental, ambient, and electro-acoustic genres, offering a powerful escape into sound—perfect for anyone seeking both reflection and discovery.
